This made-for-television movie spawned several sequels and eventually an adventure TV-series of the same name. Russell Wong and Chi Moui Lo star as brothers Jian-Wa and Wago Chang, respectively, who escape from China's political unrest and take up in the United States. In the conclusion of a two-part story (originally telecast as a single two-hour episode), Magnum has figured out that the reason he has been summoned to testify in Washington about his old unit in Vietnam is to prevent him from asking any more questions about his lost love Michelle (Marta DuBois), whom he had married during the war--and who was not killed in an explosion as he has been led to believe. It turns out that Michelle is now the wife of a high-ranking Vietnamese general (Soon-Tek Oh), who is presently in Washington negotiating the release of some American POWs. In his second Streets of San Francisco guest appearance, Pat Hingle is cast as Alfred Mossman, a man suffering from acute paranoia. Convinced that he is being stalked by a criminal, Mossman fires a gun at a man lurking outside his home--and ends up shooting a police officer by mistake. Number three in the Dirty Harry series, The Enforcer equips macho cop Harry Callahan (Clint Eastwood) with a female assistant, Kate Moore (Tyne Daly). Their quarry is a terrorist organization which has kidnapped the mayor of San Francisco (John Crawford). Harry goes undercover, attempting to root out the terrorists by beating up anybody who looks at him cross-eyed. When Harry and Kate discover that the mayor is being held at Alcatraz Island, it is only a matter of time before the climactic bloodbath. Chase was a Jack Webb-produced series which ran from September 1973 to August of 1974. Mitchell Ryan starred as the head of a special police unit assigned to cases that no one else would touch with a ten-foot pole. Ryan's staff included Wayne Maunder, Reid Smith, Michael Richardson and Brian Fong; surprisingly, there was no female Chase Squad member (three of the above-mentioned actors would be replaced in mid-season; among the replacements was old reliable Jack Webb cohort Gary Crosby). In the Chase 60-minute pilot, telecast on September 11, 1973, the Chase gang goes after an auto-theft ring. They catch them...or haven't you tumbled to that fact? ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

Crusty Chief Ironside (Raymond Burr) exhibits the warmer side of his personality when his foster daughter Chong Lee (Miko Mayama) arrives from Korea. In his third Family Affair guest appearance, Benson Fong plays restaurant owner Eng Ho, an old friend of Bill Davis (Brian Keith). About to enter into an arranged marriage with a girl from Hong Kong named Ming Lee (Irene Tsu), Eng Ho asks Bill to let the girl stay with the Davis family until the wedding. Those who worried that the Disney studio would collapse without the presence of the late Uncle Walt were put at ease when the profits starting rolling in for The Love Bug. The "star" is Herbie, a lovable little Volkswagen with a personality all its own. Abused by a bad guy race-car driver (David Tomlinson), Herbie is rescued by a good guy racer (Dean Jones). Out of gratitude, Herbie enables the luckless good guy to win one race after another. The real fun begins when the ruthless hot-rodder connives to get Herbie back through fair means or foul.
