Helmed by Anthony Harvey, director of the early-70s cult classic They Might Be Giants, this made-for-television romantic drama stars Anthony Quinn and Katherine Hepburn. The pair of aging movie stars appropriately play a pair of aging movie stars named Michael Reyman and Marion Bennett. For decades the two held intense animosity toward one another, but in their golden years they begin to realize that perhaps they've simply been trying to mask their feelings of love. Jason Bateman and Jami Gertz head up the supporting cast. The film was originally broadcast on CBS, March 13, 1994. ~ Matthew Tobey, All Movie Guide

When an unidentified, inarticulate man (Larry Lillo) comes out of the woods suffering from amnesia and a heavy load of guilt, his condition and treatment become the topic of the day for the crew of doctors and nurses in the local hospital assigned to his care. As the patient begins to make some progress, and his character and personality slowly become known, the reason for his trauma is revealed. With a mix of humor in the beginning and a bit of a shock toward the end, this unusual film by Patricia Gruben is an intriguing treatment of mental deterioration. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, All Movie Guide

Best-selling author Michael Crichton wrote and directed this science fiction thriller that combined the influences of Blade Runner (1982), comic books, and Crichton's ongoing fascination with the dangers of high technology. Tom Selleck stars as Sergeant Jack Ramsey, a single father in the near future, when robots have largely replaced humans in performing menial labor. However, the robots occasionally malfunction, threatening human life and requiring a specialist like Jack, who terminates the haywire "runaways." Investigating a particularly nasty series of recent cases, Jack and his new partner Karen Thompson (Cynthia Rhodes) discover a connection between the runaways and Charles Luther (Kiss frontsman Gene Simmons). Luther, a maniacal genius, is masterminding a plot to create an army of killing machines. With time running out, it's up to Jack and Karen to match wits with Luther and save humanity. ~ Karl Williams, All Movie Guide

In this interesting drama set in the 1960s at the height of the Vietnam War, a tough drill sergeant looking for two of his AWOL enlisted men tracks them to the home of an unhappy, manipulative Vancouver couple. Sergeant Ulysses Hawley (Alan Scarfe) is looking for Peter (Jon Bryden) and his companion who have humiliated him in front of an officer. Noel (Dermot Hennelly) has allowed the runaways to stay in his home, while he and Val (Barbara March) use them as examples of courageous rebellion against the Vietnam War. The Sergeant's Gunga Din personality has the effect of making other men remember to be macho in his presence -- an attitude the runaway Peter has never really known. When he comes on the scene, the Sergeant easily takes charge -- and the deserters will be hard-put to evade capture. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, All Movie Guide
