In a small remote Caribbean island, where life appears to be one vast party, "the general" (Oliver Reed), a sinister American, hooks up with a corrupt local (Vittorio Amandola) who wants to transform the island into a big-deal tourist's gambling joint. Fortunately for the happy-go-lucky islanders, Panama (Scott Plank) has a plan to thwart this development plan which will leave them out in the cold, and with their help he convinces the general that there's hidden treasure on the island which will more than compensate him for the "finders fees" (bribes) he would have gotten from the developers. ~ Clarke Fountain, All Movie Guide

Italian action star Terence Hill aims for the breadbasket while playing for laughs in All the Way Boys. Hill and his frequent filmic cohort Bud Spencer play a couple of what-the-hell flyboys, working for a ramshackle air freight line. Ordered to navigate the treacherous Andes, Hill and Spencer grimace and groan as they narrowly avert sudden death. Prominent Irish performer Cyril Cusack is brought in for acting relief as "Mad Man". Yes, All the Way, Boys is funny, so long as you aren't expecting Noel Coward...or even Neil Simon. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
In this comic Italian Western, the third of the "Trinity" series, Trinity (Terence Hill) and his brother Bambino (Bud Spencer) abandon their law-enforcement duties and try to join the world of horse thieves and criminals. Despite their bad intentions, and their own unbelievable klutziness, they end up helping everyone they meet. Their deadpan earnestness in improbable situations helps make this broad comedy work. What happens when they visit a snooty French restaurant is one of the highlights of the film. The two men speak so little that language is no barrier to enjoying this production, even in its original Italian-language release. ~ Clarke Fountain, All Movie Guide
Five Man Army can best be described as a marked-down Magnificent Seven. Peter Graves, James Daly, Bud Spencer, Testuro Tamba and Nino Castelnuovo play the quintet of the title. Caught in the middle of the 1914 Mexican Revolution, the five men pool their individual skills in hopes of incapacitating the enemy. With Mission: Impossible star Graves in the lead, it's only natural that the plan involves the "impossible" task of relieving a nasty general of a large gold shipment. Set in Mexico but filmed in Italy, this spaghetti western was bankrolled by MGM, the same folks who brought you the popular The Dirty Dozen and who were undoubtedly hoping that lightning would strike twice. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
- Starring:
- Peter Graves, James Daly, (more)

Four writers are to credit for this unsuccessful sword-and-sandal feature starring Richard Harrison. Set in the 1st century A.D., Sparta is under the tyranny of the Roman Empire. With the help of six other gladiators, Spartan Darius (Harrison) is determined to make a small contribution to the welfare of mankind by engaging in hand-to-hand combat with the local brutes. The dubbing is uneven in this historical actioner that follows the same pattern as many of the low-budget features of this genre. ~ Kristie Hassen, All Movie Guide
- Starring:
- Richard Harrison, Loredana Nusciak, (more)
"There will always be...SONS OF HERCULES!!!" So goes the tacked-on TV theme music of the Italian sword and sandal opus Invincible Gladiators. One of those sons of Hercules is herein played by Richard Lloyd (though Herk's name is never alluded to in the dialogue). A beautiful princess has been kidnapped, and a handsome prince is beside himself. Lloyd offers his services to the prince, doing battle with the minions of an evil queen. Hopefully, when you catch up with Invincible Gladiators, the film's color process won't have faded into living brown, as has happened with many entries in the "Sons of Hercules" TV package. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
- Starring:
- Massimo Girotti, Horst Frank, (more)
Released not long before a much more spectacular Cleopatra came along to make Elizabeth Taylor even more famous, this routine drama by Vittorio Cottafavi, a director who favors historical epics, is no competition. The prelude to Cleopatra's demise is the main focus of attention, but in this drama Mark Antony's presence is usurped by the Roman envoy Curridius (Ettore Manni). Curridius travels all the way from Rome to warn Antony that the powers-that-be are not thrilled with his behavior. Along the way, he faces one danger after another and then encounters Cleopatra (Linda Cristal) to make it all seem worth the effort. Gladiators in combat, underwater fights, and other impressive action scenes enliven the story. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, All Movie Guide
- Starring:
- Linda Cristal, Georges Marchal, (more)
