Stringer (Idris Elba) attends D'Angelo's funeral, where he runs into Proposition Joe (Robert F. Chew), who offers him a deal. If Avon (Wood Harris) gives up some of his prime real estate, Prop Joe will give them access to his better product. Stringer visits Avon in prison to present the idea. Avon, distraught over D's death but still unaware of Stringer's involvement, rejects Prop Joe's offer. Daniels' (Lance Reddick) unit goes to work, convincing Sobotka (Chris Bauer) that they've given up on the murder case. Then they tap into the dock computers and watch as one of Horseface's (Charley Scalies) containers "disappears." They then trail the container to a warehouse. While Greggs (Sonja Sohn) is doing surveillance, she sees Prop Joe pull up to the warehouse, thus providing a pivotal link between the prostitution ring, the murdered girls on the docks, and Baltimore's drug trade. With this new information, Daniels tells Major Rawls (John Doman) that he's willing to take on the murders, but only if Rawls agrees to provide him with whatever his unit needs. Meanwhile, Herc (Domenick Lombardozzi) and Carver (Seth Gilliam) borrow a high tech bug for their surveillance work, leaving a large deposit on Carver's credit card. They learn that Nick (Pablo Schreiber) is supplying a local dealer, Frog (Gary "D.Reign" Senkus), with narcotics, but they lose their expensive listening device. ~ Josh Ralske, All Movie Guide

The best little whorehouse in the middle of nowhere needs help. Nandi (Melinda Clarke) built the place up from nothing, but the warlord of the local backwater, Ranse Burgess (Fredric Lehne), apparently thinks the planet is his domain. Petaline (Tracy Leah Ryan), one of Nandi's workers, is pregnant, and Burgess thinks he's the father. He vows to come and take the baby away, against the mother's wishes, and it's clear that he'll have no problem killing anyone who gets in his way. With her back against the wall, Nandi sends out a distress call to Serenity. When Mal (Nathan Fillion) finds out the distress call is for Inara (Morena Baccarin), he asks, "This distress wouldn't happen to be taking place in someone's pants, would it?" But when Inara asks Mal to drop everything to go and help her old friend from her Academy days, Mal agrees without hesitation. Everyone on the ship agrees to help out, even Jayne (Adam Baldwin), once he finds out there are whores involved. After a brief encounter with Burgess, Mal sees how much money and firepower the man has, and suggests that Nandi and her people make a run for it. But Nandi refuses to give up what she's built, earning Mal's respect and admiration. The crew and the prostitutes prepare for battle, hoping that the element of surprise will give them a small edge. Unfortunately, one of the whores rats them out to Burgess, who rallies the menfolk in the town to show up armed for bear the next morning. As Simon (Sean Maher), Inara, and River (Jewel Staite) prepare to deliver the baby, Mal and Nandi have a heart-to-heart, and find themselves drawn ever closer to one another as the night goes on. This episode, included on the DVD, never aired on Fox. ~ Josh Ralske, All Movie Guide

Spun off from the Emmy-winning TV miniseries of the same name (which in turn was based on a series of children's novel by James Gurney) , the weekly ABC fantasy-adventure series Dinotopia picked up where its predecessor left off, albeit with an entirely new cast. Stranded in an idyllic lost land where humans and dinosaurs co-exist, millionaire Frank Scott (Michael Brandon) and his hunky sons Karl (Erik Von Deeten) and David (Shiloh Strong) do their best to acclimate themselves to their new home -- and to console themselves with the fact that they can never leave. As Karl and David compete for the attentions of Marion Waldo (Georgina Rylance), the attractive future leader of Dinotopia, both boys also become entangled in the activities of The Outsiders, a group of political insurgents led by another dazzlingly beautiful woman named Le Sage (Lisa Zane). Originally slated to debut on October 10, 2002, Dinotopia ultimately aired on November 28 of that year, reportedly because of technical problems surrounding the series' computer-generated Tyrannosaurs, Pteranodons and other dinosaurs. ~ All Movie Guide

Angel (David Boreanaz) awakens from his night of passion with Darla (Julie Benz), seemingly in the throes of losing his soul. But as it turns out, the hollow debauchery bought him not true happiness and subsequent damnation, but instead an epiphany about the dark course he has been following. Grievously offended, Darla tries to kill him, but he easily defeats her and gives her the option of disappearing forever or dying immediately. Angel then rushes to the home of Kate Lockley (Elisabeth Rohm), who had called him the previous evening just before attempting suicide. He saves her, and later they share a friendly conversation in which they set aside their past differences. Kate professes belief in a higher power, pointing out that Angel was able to come into her home and save her even though she never invited him in. Angel also shares some of his new insights with the Host (Andy Hallett). The horned lounge proprietor advises Angel to patch things up with his former employees, especially since they're all in grave danger. It seems that Cordelia (Charisma Carpenter) has been apprehended by a group of Skilosh demons -- the monsters whose egg-laying recently caused one of the team's clients to sprout a third eye (see "The Thin Dead Line"). They implant one of their young in Cordy's head and wait for it to hatch and destroy her. Meanwhile, Angel arrives at the home of Wesley (Alexis Denisof), who, injured and stuck in a wheelchair, is about to get stomped by additional Skilosh demons. After dispatching the monsters, the pair call a truce, grab Gunn (J. August Richards), and head off to save Cordy. They're tailed by Lindsey McDonald (Christian Kane), who is enraged at Angel for cutting off his hand (see "To Shanshu in L.A."), and, more recently, sleeping with his beloved Darla and not turning evil. After getting his butt kicked, Angel turns the table on Lindsey and then rushes off to save Cordy, as well as the newly captured Gunn and Wes. Angel asks his friends if he can come to work for them; they agree, but all is not forgiven. Originally broadcast February 27, 2001, on the WB network, "Epiphany" marked season two, episode 16 of the supernatural comedy drama. ~ Brian J. Dillard, All Movie Guide

This theatrical sci-fi action tale is actually the first in a series of direct-to-video features derived from re-edited episodes of the syndicated television show Highlander (1992-1997). Adrian Paul stars as Duncan "Mac" MacLeod, kin of Connor MacLeod (Christopher Lambert), the main character from three previous Highlander features. The MacLeods are two of a race of Immortals, destined to wander the planet forever, capable of dying only by beheading and battling with swords of those of their ilk that have gone evil. Connor appears to help Mac battle Slan (Richard Moll), a fellow Immortal gone wrong, but Slan gets the best of Connor, hurling him from a bridge, leaving Mac to finish Slan off. Months later, Mac becomes involved with another Immortal, Reinhardt (Christopher Ohrt), and his girlfriend Rebecca (Vanity). Believing Reinhardt dead at Mac's hands, Rebecca seeks vengeance for her lover's death, but Mac discovers that Reinhardt, still alive, is manipulating them both. This revelation leads to a final showdown between Mac and Reinhardt. Highlander: The Gathering (1993) also introduced some of the TV series' regulars, including Mac's best friend Richie (Stan Kirsch) and girlfriend Tessa (Alexandra Van Der Noot). ~ Karl Williams, All Movie Guide
