From Michael Moore's hometown of Flint, MI, to the movie-making capital of the United States, director Mike Wilson's inflammatory documentary travels across the country to hold the controversial Sicko director's allegedly questionable tactics up to the light for closer examination. Wilson is a filmmaker who wants viewers to question what they see and hear in the media, and he's willing to travel thousands of miles in order to highlight why you too should remain skeptical about Moore's motivations as a filmmaker. The result is a meditation on the American dream, and the manner in which diligence and determination can eventually pay off for the folks who aren't willing to let their dreams fade. Additionally, by speaking with such well-known media figures as Penn Jilette and John Stossel as well as a host of highly respected scholars, Wilson highlights how Moore manipulates interviews and statistics to serve his own personal agenda. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

In slapstick routines that somehow miss the mark, this erstwhile comedy is about an atomic bomb named M.A.R.Y. that is mistakenly delivered to an Army surplus store in Seattle, instead of its intended arsenal. Along its misguided way, the bomb pays a visit to the Seattle Space Needle and is dangerously mishandled. The premise of a wayward bomb sets everyone into paroxysms of jumping, running, shouting, and carrying on with a cab driver (Michael Huddleston) as a befuddled observer who also gets involved. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, All Movie Guide

The "Dungeons and Dragons" craze was still in its infancy when the Seattle-based Doubles came out in 1978. Young Dennis Cooley (Ted D'Arms) leads his friends through an elaborate role-playing fantasy game. Alas (and inevitably), someone is taking the game far too seriously. Now Dennis must avoid being killed by a hired gun-and, while he's at it, he tries to win the game. The title Doubles takes on added meaning when we learn that one of the supporting actors is playing a dual role. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

The Hawaiians is the sequel to 1969's Hawaii; both films were adapted from the same sprawling novel by James A. Michener. Charlton Heston is top-billed as a sailor who returns to his Hawaiian homestead, only to learn that his grandfather's fortune has been bestowed upon his hated cousin Alec McCowan. As a reprisal, Heston sets up his own pineapple plantation in competition with his cousin. Heston's son John Phillip Law falls in love with the daughter (Virginia Ann Lee) of a Chinese farmer (Mako). The issue of miscegenation rears its ugly head, but by the end of this very long film Heston's family is united by marriage to the Chinese clan. The British title of The Hawaiians was Master of the Islands. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
