Robert M. Weitman Movies

Production executive Robert M. Weitman got his start as a doorman at the Broadway Paramount Theater in New York. By 1935 he had risen to successfully manage the Paramount in Times Square. In 1953, following the merger between Paramount and the ABC network, Weitman was appointed vice president of programming. He later held a similar post at CBS. Weitman joined the television and film divisions of MGM and Columbia as a production vice president during the '60s.
