Well intentioned, but bland, with the look of a 1970s T.V. show. Wig-sportin' Dillon is miscast as "Hawkeye". If you like this era in history like I do, check out a trio of true classics: "Northwest Passage", "Drums Along the Mohawk" ,and the 1990's version of "The Last of the Mohicans".
This movie is clearly aimed at children and has typical TV production values. It shares little in common with its magnificent big brother, Last of the Mohicans. I'd steer clear.
