Sonia Braga is the Sofia Loren of our time. She gets better with time. Sonia is is sexy, funny and very likeable. The movie reminds me of the Brazilian Novelas which I saw on TV grewing up as a young boy in Venezuela; it contained plenty of drama, laughter,, sadness, and sexual situations - all mix into one. You also get some beautiful landscape shots of northern Brazil. Having watched it makes me want to pack my back and head to Brazil. This movie will be loved by those who love Latin America culture. Be prepared. The movie has strong sexual content which may be offensive.
