This upbeat documentary offers profiles of nine African-American residents of Harlem with ages ranging from 12-26. Though most of them have grown up in poverty, come from single-parent homes, have little education and face many other obstacles, each of them tries to make something of their lives. The story also features clips from films overseen by each of the subjects. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
