This is an early Russell Crowe film about young men from all of the British Empire and the United States training to become bomber pilots in 1942 rural Manitoba. The movie was beautifully filmed. It is not a big blockbuster type war movie. It is a simple story of how families had to cope during WWII. The film reminded me of other type pictures such as The Home Front, 15 Amore, Yanks and The Summer of '42. It should be rented by all who like military and romance.

I enjoyed the romance from the start. Russell Crowe can convince you of the reality of any setting he plays in. Excellent emotional ride.
