Very enjoyable, good action scenes. I recommend this movie.

Even though I'm certain this movie was more historically accurate in its telling than the newer "hunkier" version, the historicity of the film couldn't make up for the poor acting and plodding dialogue. Don't bother to even rent this one.

I grew up on this movie. I lived for it when I was a kid ! Have not seen it probably since the UHF days of the late 60's early 70's Looking at now ..sadly I can see that the acting is REAL BAD and the action scenes are pretty lame too. It can't match up to the likes of Demetrios and the Gladiators...etc... But still...it was nice to relieve my youth & it is STILL better than that crap 300 !!
