A simple story with curmudgeonly Hume Cronyn filling the central role admirably. Not quite a "family" movie with all of the double entendres, but if you are familiar with Bob Larbey's other work, you won't be disappointed here. Cronyn and Gardenia provide rich characterizations, even if the supporting players are somewhat lesser. I would have liked more interactions with the other residents, but you can only do so much in the time allotted...
