I was really excited to see this...but was a little disappointed when I got it. The cinematography was great but the music got old pretty quick...it just seemed like the same stuff over and over...with strange climatic parts to the music that just didn't belong. I did better the second time I watched it...I turned off the sound on the TV and watched it while I listened to my iPod. Much better! But if you're not one of those nuts that gets off on great shots and gets made fun of because you talk about cinematography at work, this may not be for you.

I was a bit disappointed in Chronos. The camera shots were clunky at times and the music not very good. I highly suggest another of Ron Frike's film's: Baraka... it is Frike's best work and is amazing. Skip Chronos and definitely see Baraka.

I was lucky enough to see this film in a domed IMAX theater many times. I was glad to see the Special Edition version with better picture and sound. Chronos takes you on a journey through geography, history, and modern life. The time lapse cinematography is brilliant, and the soundtrack is great despite the dated keyboards that it was recorded with.
