Great Dream (1963)

Great Dream (1963)
A boy (Gary Graver) and a girl (Lois Adams) leaves separate towns to live out their youthful dreams of becoming stars in Hollywood. The two meet each other, and eventually sleep together. Their idyllic picture of Hollywood changes as they encounter the harsh realities and a host of strangers who could care less about their lofty goals. They encounter a pervert, a drunken midget, and a quartet of thugs who beat up the boy at the corner of Hollywood and Vine while surrounded by dozens of indifferent witnesses. Graver produced, wrote, directed and starred in this symbolic drama of shattered dreams where the road to Tinseltown is strewn with trash of the regular and human variety. ~ Dan Pavlides, Rovi
