D'arcy Conyers both wrote and directed the lightweight comedy/drama The Devil's Pass. Veteran British character actor John Slater, best known for his role as Sgt. Stone on TV's Z Cars, enjoys one of his few leading film roles as the captain of a rundown fishing boat. A young stowaway (Christopher Warbey) befriends the gruff old salt. When the captain is threatened by villainous wreckers, the young man comes to the rescue.
