Mario Van Peebles always has/had good directing & writing skills. This movie has/had great potential but fell short on acting from inexperienced actors/actresses. This might be due to the heavy lean of family youth, which ran down from the Van Peebles, & other celebrity kids. Overall, I thought the storyline was decent. So-So Watch! "Da Hood Critic"

This film is surprisingly deep. It's not quite as good as Coach Carter but it's in the neighborhood. It has a really good story, some profound moments, and is far from boring.
