THOMAS A.

this was a great movie. it starred alan arkin and johnny desmond about how music became popular through jukebox sales being in all the ice cream parlors and diners. people paying to hear the latest songs played on the radio and how one guy was going to corner the market. it came out when island calypso music was really getting a growth spurt do to the populaity of harry belafonte's "banana boat song" more famous as "day o, day o, daylight coming and i want to go home" song. in this movie the lovely vivacios 6 foot maya angelou makes her film debut singing and dancing creating a heat wave.
