I am blown away by this series. No one has every captured the essence, the pain, the heartbeat of what it is like to live in this beautiful, soulfull, tragic, wonderful city of New Orleans. this is a no-hold-barred show.
I sometimes wonder how much people who are not from New Orleans "get" about what is happening in the episodes. I mean - come on - Ernie K-Doe, the Mardi Gras Indians and "spy boys", the passion that is the music of the city, etc.
Thanks to the creators of Treme - keep it coming, the good, the bad and the ugly. It is what makes us Orleanians!!
This is a great show. It really captures the music and feeling of New Orleans, along with what it was like for the NOLA residents to deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
