Excision (2008)

Excision (2008)
A scab-picking, surgery-obsessed teen perfects her operating skills by dissecting roadkill, and plots to save her younger sister from the ravages of cystic fibrosis by personally putting her under the knife in this visceral psychological horror film featuring Traci Lords, John Waters, Malcolm McDowell, Ray Wise, and Academy Award-winner Marlee Matlin (Children of a Lesser God). Disturbed Pauline (AnnaLynne McCord) is a pariah at school, where most of her days are filled with fantasies of vivisection. Meanwhile, at home, her mother Phyllis (Lords) and father Bob (Roger Bart) are growing increasingly concerned with her growing surgery fetish. The only person Pauline can really talk to is her younger sister Grace (Ariel Winter). But Grace is gravely ill with cystic fibrosis, and the same surgery that could save her may also kill her. Increasingly isolated at home and at school, terrified at the thought of losing her only friend, and desperate to prove herself to her distant mother and father, Ariel plots to bypass the doctors, and use her trusty scalpel to save Grace from certain death. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
