Subtitled so beware, but if you've read the book you'll like the movie (but you'll probably have liked the book better). Somehow the characters you have pictured in your mind from the book don't quite match up to the movie. Nevertheless, well acted and well paced. Defintely worth seeing. A 'US" version of the book/movie will be sure to follow...

I think this was one of my all time favorite movies. I am planning on purchasing it when it comes out. I read the book and am currently reading the girl who played with fire. I am loving it as well. The acctress that played the role was very convincing and I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. She is a highly intelligent young woman and I just love her revenge. She was the hero of the book.

Upon first playing the Blu-Ray version of this movie, it defaulted to Swedish audio and English subtitles, but with a bit of playing around figured out how to get the English soundtrack. For me, this movie is one of the best I've watched in years. The acting is totally believable -- and that is no small feat where one of the main characters is one Lisbeth Salander. This brilliant, edgy, tragic young woman had to be one of the most difficult roles imaginable, but Noomi Rapace pulls it off brilliantly. The story covers a lot of ground (figuratively and geographically). Of course, time constraints necessitated leaving a few of the book's details out here and there, but, by and large, the movie stayed true to author Stieg Larsson's story. If you've never read the book, I think you'll love the movie just the way it is. If you have read the book, I think you'll still be very satisfied by the director's effort to remain true to the original story.
