His Name Was Jason: 30 Years of Friday the 13th is a very interesting but uneven documentary. It basically covers a bunch of subjects about each of the 11 movies. It was very cool to see the directors, scream queens, and former Jason's come in and offer commentary for the film. It was fun to see what they look like now. The big issue with the movie is the lack of honesty and in depth examination. This is a feel good piece about Jason. None of the information is negative. Lets be honest, there's alot of ups and downs to the Jason series. They act like everything they did was a monster hit and the fans ate it up. FALSE! Part 5 was an utter disaster; So was Jason X until the ending. I would have also enjoyed some insite into the story line directions. I mean who came up with the ideas in Jason goes to hell? It is a fun documentary, it's just not all that enlightening. Hardcore fans will like it, obviously. I doubt it will inspire new fans to watch all the movies.

This is a film of behind the "FT13th" movies, what almost everyone was thinking then & what they are thinking now, two things is for sure=1 everyone is real happy they were part of the movies & 2 they wish they could be in another one. This is a great recap of all the films=made Me rent them again & sit back eat popcorn & just enjoy the fun.
