It's a bit hard to watch, especially if you believe that its based on a true experience. But you will remember the story line and appreciate the strength of the main character. It demonstrates that survival is possible, even under almost impossible circumstances.

A heavy hitter. The story is slow, but maintains viewer interest. Highlight is the acting by the 'sisters'. That's what pushed my rating higher.

I aplaud Lori Petty for telling her story. I have heard that the script is disjointed and people didn't understand that all three girls were sisters. You have to pay atttention, the youngest girl is mentioned at the very beginning of the film. It is disjointed bc it is told from the point of view of a 14 year old girl. I thought the film was very powerful and sad, and despite the often trite phrase kids are resilient, they get over things. Kidds do not forget or forgive they just try to get beyond and often fail, hopefully this helped Lori get beyond.
