Compelling! I first saw this film nearly 30 years ago and never forgot the stories of the people whose lives were directly affected and intertwined by WW2. All connected by music. These are true, compelling stories, made even more compelling by the music. Everything builds to the moving climax through Ravel's emotional "Bolero." This is a must-see film.
