Lt. Kojak (Telly Savalas) faces an inter-departmental crisis when his fellow detective Bobby Crocker (Kevin Dobson) accidentally shoots and disables fashion model Polly Ames (Carol Lynley), who was caught in the crossfire during a fur robbery.
