With great reluctance, Quincy (Jack Klugman) sets out to prove that wealthy Powell Dixon (George Gaynes) was murdered by his wife Jeannina (Ina Balin), who has a history of mental problems. What makes this particular case so difficult is that Jeannina and Quincy had been lovers back in their medical-school days.
