I enjoyed this play in a movie format. It had some great music and some over the top outfits that gave it a great vibe. Edward James Olmos is creepy and magnetic in this, it's hard to take your eyes off him! It get's a little slow and drawn out in the middle but kind of provocative and dramatic in the end.

A brilliant play within a film. When that style is done well, it's magic. Amazing acting and directing. I wish I'd been able to see the stage production. I didn't know about this trial or the situations behind it, so it was also a great American history lesson. Why this kind of story isn't in the history books is beyond me. Best part: I still can't stop humming some of those songs!
