Quincy (Jack Klugman) and Sam (Robert Ito) are summoned to the small Arizona town of Porterville, where a mysterious disease has sent several local citizens to the hospital. The source of the disease remains a mystery until Quincy finds a correlation between the human epidemic and and malady that is decimating the livestock of tyrannical cattle baron Jack Porter (Guy Stockwell).
