Maybe Futurama can be revived like Family Guy was! I enjoy FG, but Futurama was a well-written show that was cancelled before its time. Networks seem to be bent on cancelling shows before they get a chance to suceed, like CBS did with Moonlight. Maybe if this movie from Futurama sells well they will consider a revival

The animation, the humor, the inside jokes and the characters are still going strong. Like others have said, the plot in this one is a bit strange and IMHO skewed more towards the Family Guy, American Dad crowd (No, this is not the same as the Futurama audience) The plot, while weird, is well conceived and the writers didnt skimp on the scifi explanations - it's all sorta feasible - just listen to the commentary. Also, to the other reviewer and possible new viewers: Futurama is all about the "Build" of humor. Those coming from the 30 minute "Rinse - Repeat" of the Simpsons and Family Guy might feel confused because of this. If you're not a fan of inside humor, this might be a "rent it first - then buy it". My advise: Don't give up on Futurama based on this movie, go back and watch the 4 seasons and the last movie - it's worth it and you'll appreciate this movie much much more.
