I saw this movie years ago and have looked for it for a long time. I watched it with my husband, afraid he would think of it as a "Chick" movie, but he really liked it to.

I was not sure what to expect when I rented this movie. I usually don't watch movies like this. But I am glad I did. It was an exceptional story and very well-told (Diane Keaton directed). Mainly it shows how the power of love can transform someone from an outcast and reject to soemone who is loving, lovable and accepted. Excellently done, great acting, heart-warming and life-affirming. It reminds me of the story of Christ and his mission to rescue us from our bondage and failure. One of the better stories I have ever experienced. It makes me want to read the book the movie is based on. I heartily recommend this one!
