A well done tale of the unprecedented (at the time) detention of Pinochet in England. Derek Jacoby is excellent and the story is engaging. Having lived in Chile during those years, I object to the political slant of the story widely accepted by many. There is another side, evidenced by Chile's current achievements under successive social democratic governments who have not veered from Pinochet economics. Nevertheless, as a movie, it entertains.

I have always enjoyed Jacobi as an actor so that helped the movie which I thought was ok. Certainly not an action type movie and a bit slow at times but I enjoyed the new info I was learning about Pinochet. I found the subject interesting and felt that both sides of pro or anti Pinochet where being represented. The movie lets you come up with your own conclussions to which I thought a case could be made either way. Was he a tyrant that should be blamed for all the terrible things that occured in his country during the war or was he a help in bring freedom and democracy by overthrowing a socialist/communist government. You decide.

Decently done. If you like historical movies this will interest you. Would have liked the movie to go into more details of how much of a dictator he was...
