My score is based on the average score given by our four children, ages 8 to 17. This wasn't a bad movie, but not one of Disney's better movies. The animation was excellent, but the writing was poor. The characters had stereotypical personalities with sound bite lines awkwardly stitched together. I laughed more than the children did, but it wasn't a very humorous movie from my standpoint. Although you may not think writing and dialogue would matter to children, it seems to have a significant impact on how our children view the movie. If our children were between 4 and 10, their rating would have likely been much higher. Compared to an average Pixar movie, this movie was not in the same league.
