A modern "Christmas Carol". Grandkids loved it and so did us grandparents.

I'm over 50 and I loved this film. The story is themed on "A Christmas Carol," but it's not a remake. This modern tale is beautifully produced and directed. The biggest surprise is all of the convincing, strong performances that were neither forced nor lazy. Robert Wagner as Mr. Wilson, who would have thought? Here is a shining example of underplaying a role and making it work beautifully within the ensemble. And, who would have guessed Academy Award winning Louise Fletcher (she played the evil Nurse Ratched in "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest 1976) would have wound up playing Mrs. Wilson 30 years later? The story line pulls out all of the usual stops. But it is all done so well, it is very easy to enjoy the movie for the holiday treat it is intended. I highly recommend. The kid actors are all excellent in this too! Great kids movie (not toddlers). Adults definitely will enjoy too.
