Agreed. The only positive thing (if you enjoy this kind of thing) was Karen Allen briefly naked. She has an amazing girl next door kind of charm in everything she does, of course. Nothing else redeeming about it.

The acting is flat, there seems to be no true passion in this film. Karen Allen sometimes speaks English with a French inflection, although she is supposedly from the American Midwest. For the co-owner of a small farm she seems to have an unlimited amount of money to spend. Not a very believable plot, one scene seemed to be thrown in for no reason. I don't recommend this film.

I agree the plot is soft; not well defined, and the acting could be better (they did appear to stumble a couple of times), but it's a good movie to watch on a rainy day to pass the time. While not the best romantic movie, I don't think it was all that terrible. Do want to see it again. It has been years. It's on my list.
