The case against a big-time racketeer may be dismissed because of a hung jury. Ironside (Raymond Burr) suspects that one of the jury members has been bribed to be the sole "holdout." With only 24 hours at his disposal, the Chief must find out which of the 12 jurors has been bought off--a difficult assignment in that the jury has been sequestered and is beyond his reach.
