The paying audience had much in common with Jonah Hex. We all got burned horribly, we are marked for life, and we all might never recover! I went to the movie expecting more. I was let down. Yes, the movie is worth watching once. Twice? NO. Not the best work by either Brolin or JM, and I am a big fan of both. The inexperienced director is the major culprit causing this flop, but like anything else, it was a group effort. The movie moved s-l-o-w-l-y, to the point that my eyelids began dropping. I spent more time fighting the urge to sleep than I did enjoying the action (or lack of it). This could have been THE movie of 2010. Instead, it is just another movie I regretted spending my money to see. This movie was meant for DVD and should have gone straight to it. As of today (20Jun10) IMDB has it rated at 4.6 out of 10; I agree.

Was the same old western story line with a paranormal twist. I know it is based on an old comic but story line basically consisted of Man's family gets murdered while he watches and then spends the rest of the movie avenging their death. The difference is Jonah hex can talk to the dead, and seems to be able to cheat it himself. So So. I would give it a C at best. Wait and rent it.
