Synopsis is incorrect: Sylvia is not trying to reconcile with her parents in this movie. Burning is complex and emotional and most questions are answered by the end. Pay attention or you will get lost. It is an intense drama--not good if you're already depressed or looking for something light-hearted, but of course, it is Arriaga. I would not recommend for teens.

I found it very engrossing and yes, a little hard to follow at first. Once you get into the story line it is good.
