Very interesting black and white film footage and a no holes bared account of WWII that was written shortly after the war's end in 1945. If you are a true history buff you'll enjoy this documentary. It follows the U.S. and it's allies during a crucial part of the European campaign (D-Day build up and Normandy landing through the fall of Berlin). Using some interesting commentary, film, and photography it points out strategic errors in military command decision and also glorifies their victories. I'm sure it was a triumph in it's day and must have played extremely well to theater audiences.
