Max Lucado is using common words and illustrations to help us understand John 3:16. He uses simple ways to tell what scripture means. The short film on the DVD was excellent at portraying a father's love. Yes it is predictable, but it seems to take us going over and over something to get the lesson we need to learn from it. This is encouraging for someone who believes and strives to be a christian in this society. It will give hope to the hopeless and the hurting.

Max Lucado is not one of those rah rah rah style preachers. He preaches more like if he is just speaking to you personally at a firechat or a stroll at a beach. But what he says has really good Bibical principals. His use of stories really fit well with the lessons he teaches. I think that it is cool that he and I share the same first name-at least, almost share it. :-)
