Convinced that he has been chosen by a higher power to lead his people back to the old ways, a pious Native American raised off the reservation drags his adolescent son along on a heartfelt mission to reclaim their shared heritage. Eric Smallhouse may know nothing about the old ways, but that won't stop him from trying to reconnect with his past. Later assuming the name Rain in the Mountains, the earnest Native American quickly discovers that life wasn't any easier before the advent of electricity and toaster ovens. But the harder he works towards connecting with the past, the more he becomes convinced that the modern world is the enemy. While his plan to strike back at the modern world gradually come into focus, Smallhouse quickly discovers that taking on the United States government is more difficult than he originally anticipated. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide
