More a continuation than a reboot. The new Doctor Who series, groundbreaking in its concepts and storylines, has finally moved into territory it barely touched before- character development. The David Tennant's (like Christopher Eccleston) doctor is a complex individual. Tennant plays a less somber Doctor who has come to terms with being the last of his species, and controlling his temper when faced with the Daleks. He is humorous but not in a clown. And though still very guarded, the Doctor of the past three seasons displays deeper emotions. It's evident how much he misses Rose and how it keeps him at arms length from Martha. All the while realizing that his immortality will always keep him apart from those he meets but will keep him in the sights of those who consider him a threat.

I love this show. I never watched the older series but I have seen all the ones from the new series. Every time I watch this show I just think it can't get any better and it always does. This show really pulls you in and it's hard to stop watching them. I finish watching the whole season in a matter of two nights. I just can't stop. I wish it didn't take so long for the to put in out on DVD over here. Let me just put it this way. I love LOST but if I had to choose between this show and LOST I would pick this one hands down. I absolutely love it. The whole series is great. And the third season is AMAZING!!! A must see! I'm not sure you can compare this show to any other show so just watch it and the odds really are in the favor of you liking it if not loving it.

Season 3 is in many ways a test of the strength of WHO-with Eccleston and Piper both gone, the show in just three years has gone to an entirely new leading cast (Although a cast member from season one does return later in the season). The third season features a lot of entertaining adventures, and also deeper and darker episodes, such as Human Nature (Adapted from one of the Doctor Who novels) and the new classic story "Blink" (Which actually doesn't have much of the Doctor in it!). There are also some returning characters and villains from both the classic and new series, but I won't spoil it...
