Member Rating:
Given the off-the-wall premise in this sci-fi western -- that a motorcyclist rides his bike through a time warp right into the Wild West, into the middle of a gang of outlaws, and cannot figure out what happened -- the glitches and gaps in the plot fit right in with the spirit of the adventure. When the outlaw Reese (Peter Coyote) catches sight of the macho bike, he decides that several hundred horsepower are better than his one and is out to rustle the vehicle any way he can. Unfortunately, the bike does not run on high-octane hay -- an issue that bites the dust when pistol-packing Clair (Belinda Bauer) appears on the scene. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi

I saw this when I was young and thought it was a great premise. Fred Ward was a perfect choice for the role in my opinion as he contained the sarcasm coupled with suspicion needed to play this off. I am giving this review as I saw it originally so through 38 year old eyes this may pale in comparison. With that said, I am typically one that likes most movies as I go in to view each with an open mind and no fixed expectations. A great movie to watch on a Lazy Sunday.

When I first saw this back in the 80's and again in the late 90's , I liked it both times. Granted, judging it against Sci-Fi today, would not be fair. However, it is still entertaining and worth renting. With all the remakes and sequels being made today, this is one that would be one to watch with todays technology.....

I remember seeing this as a child, I was 12 when it was released. I remember going to the theaters and seeing it many times. I have searched for this movie for years and was very excited when I found it here at Blockbuster Online. When it came in I was ready to relive a much enjoyed movie from my past, well I sat watching this film and wondered what in the heck I seen in it way back in the day. The plot was VERY weak and the acting was pathetic. Fred Ward was barely watchable at best. Just for the nostalgia factor I will give this one 1 star, but luckily for Mr. Ward he had Remo Williams and Tremors in his future.
