A group of people wake up in a facility not knowing who they are or how they got there. Soon, a "shadow monster" starts attacking and killing them. I liked the premise and the shadow monster was an unusual concept. I kind of wish they hadn't given it a face though. It was more frightening as a formless mass up until it was given a face which made the monster a little bit corny. Eventually, they figure out that one of them is betraying the rest. The acting was pretty well done. Not a fabulous movie but not bad. If your expectations are of some big-budget lavish flick you will be disappointed. If you generally like shows like "The Outer Limits", you will enjoy this. It was sort of like a two hour episode of TOL. Not incredibly frightening, more suspenseful or like a sci-fi thing rather than a horror movie which was okay with me. I felt it was worth renting, esp. if you're a James Marsters fan.

I was pleasantly surprised at this film. It was a low budget straight to DVD release and I had no idea what to expect. Jolene Blalock was so very fabulous. She and James Marsters play well off one another. In fact the whole cast worked wonderfully with each other. There are some freat twists in the movie that make it more than worth watching. The special effects are lacking but like I mentioned before it was low budget. I read somewhere the producer/ director/ writer made it with only one milllion dollars. I would suggest it to anyone who enjoys suspense type horror.
