While testing out his spaceship's magnet, Martin (Ray Walston) accidentally brings down a foreign space vessel containing a female cosmonaut named Zelda (played by Jill Ireland!) from the People's Republic of Slobodia. Worried about fomenting an international crisis, Martin induces amnesia in Zelda and convinces her that she's his niece, allowing him time to repair her ship and send it back.
