Synopsis of The Theatre of Tadeusz Kantor

This film examines the work of legendary theatre genius Tadeusz Kantor. Theatre of Tadeusz Kantor traces the Polish artist's roots in the visual arts and looks at his unique methods for creating props, which become living sculptures in his ingenious theater productions. Film highlights include rare scenes of Kantor at work with his troupe, Cricot 2. One segment shows Kantor on stage "conducting" his actors as a symphony conductor leads his orchestra. The video includes footage from some of the artist's most famous works, including Wielopole and Dead Class.
