Totally Baked: A Pot-u-mentary (2007)
Member Rating:
Director Lee Abbot takes a satirical look at the stereotypes and mythologies of marijuana in this satirical mockumentary following a father who is forced to speak honestly with his daughter about pot, and a pro-pot advocate who hatches an ingenious plan to change the way America views weed. Thirty-seven year old concerned father Dave Berman was hosting a barbecue for his old college debate team when militant medical marijuana activists kicked in the door and seized his home. Later, after discovering that his teenage daughter Gina Marie has taken to reefer, Dave is forced shed his preconceptions about the drug if he holds out any hope of reconnecting with her. Meanwhile, pro-pot advocate Dr. Willa Peterson has grown so frustrated with her grassroots campaign being sabotaged by prohibition-minded corporations that she ultimately decides to take the battle to the next level. After convincing the makers of Fun-Onion snack foods that their profits would soar following legalization, Dr. Peterson enlists the aid of Public Relations genius Arturo Goldman in changing public opinion about pot. If his firm can successfully counter the government's tactics of using terrorism to frighten people away from pot by convincing the masses that pot can prevent homosexuality, Goldman may achieve the elusive goal of finally decriminalizing a substance that has never been proven either addictive or deadly. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

I have time for any movie that takes the time to re-educate people like Corey H. who think drugs are bad and is sorry enough to start a debate about drugs on a blockbuster movie review area. Go grab some dohnuts and watch some porn Corey H I am sure there much better for you than any drugs. Dont dictate what others do with their bodies especially considering all the nasty things you do with your own sicko. Looks like your the only one out of five that found your review helpful. I know you will be back here Corey H to see if anyone responded to your mindless comment about a movie you havent seen and make a incredibly rediculous blanket statement abolut drugs. Get a life man step away from the computer and go meet some people good luck to you.

Hey Corey, why don't you use your computer to do a little research on why Cannabis is illegal in this country. During WWI farmers in this country were encouraged to grow cannabis to aid war effort (Hemp used to produce rope for War Ships)...Then came the Great Depression & first appointed Drug Czar, Henry J. Anslinger, who collaberated with the Hearsts, and Duponts to outlaw Cannabis. Both were threatened by the legalization of Hemp because of uses in industry. Anslinger spread the belief that Cannabis was evil...to ensure that americans would not have to share bread lines w/ hispanics, who were thought to widely use the substance. So Corey H., next time you want to get up on your high horse and preach about the dangers of drugs, go pop a beer and have a cigarette and ask yourself why alcohol and cigarettes are legal and cannabis is not!
