Sammy Davis Jr. earned an Emmy nomination for his performance in this rare Monday-night episode of The Cosby Show. Davis is cast as Ray Palomino, the footloose, free-spirited grandfather of an unwed mother-to-be named Louisa (Leticia Herrera). Cliff (Bill Cosby) goes to near-impossible lengths to coax Ray into providing moral support for Louisa in her hour of need--and in the end, both men end up with a lot more than they bargained for.
