I have to say that the movie was thoroughly entertaining. Russell Crowe was picture perfect in his role. The supporting cast was nothing short of spectacular. Most notable I would say was Mark Strong as the evil Godfrey. The movie suffers however, from lack of originality. While watching it I could only get the feeling that I had seen this movie before. Being that the movie is so thoroughly entertaining, this is easy to overlook. As for the critics that said it lacked the charm of other Robin Hood films, I don't know what they were on. This movie reeks of charm. I thought they did a great job of showing you the origin story of Robin Hood that led up to him becoming the legend. Overall, great action, good story, and great acting. 8.5/10

I thought this movie was pretty good actually. Great scenery shots, magnificent battle moments, great supporting cast behind Crowe and Blanchett. This movie stole a few scenes from legendary "Braveheart" - - and a few scenes were a bit hard to believe, as Russell Crowe does the impossible during the beach battle scenes near the end of the movie. But all in all, very entertaining.

I really enjoyed the movie. I liked how it introduced each major charactor in the movie and established who they are. It was a different take on how Robbin Hood became the legend. I hope there is a second movie to build off what was established in this movie.
