I never saw the first one, but this movie was ok. It didn't have that cheaply made with a camcorder look to it alot of the Christian films have and the acting was good. Surprisingly, the worst acting was done by a man who I've seen in movies in the past and that was Fredericks (Monte Perlin). The villains in this movie are the ones who overacted and made it a bit cheesy. This movie has a great message of how we must forgive even when we don't want to or think we can and to find your strength in the Lord. It also shows how some people can take the word of God and twist it to mean something completely different and evil like Charles Baker (Kevin Downes) did. There's a surprise twist at the end of this movie and I believe they'll use it to make another movie. Overall the movie quality was really good. Not the best end times movie I've seen, but not the worst either. I think it beats the two left behind movies I've seen.

Labeled as a "religious" film, the first 1/3 is well directed, entertaining, good pace & acting. Scary themes like global police & e-money tied to biological implants. The last 2/3 is "way" religious & slow. If you find it tedious, you won't miss much of the story by fast forwarding a few times, but be sure to catch the final chapter.
