Don't watch this movie unless you are over 18. The movie has a good story... But they overdid it with the sociopath he was a very twisted guy. This movie has, harsh beatings, drinking, smoking,a fight with a kid about 12 and a kid about 18,a kid moons others, a bar scene with prostitute, rape, and murder all done by the guys in the school. Also the head master beats some of the kids, because of things the boys should not have done but it was done very harsh. Over all the message was to stand up to bully's and be true to your self but it could have done with out a lot of the stuff. If it was rated it was a easy Pg-13 or R. -Tessa

british schoolboys left to their own devices. smoking, drinking, gambling, and fighting. canings, rape, and rich people elitism. special friendships, standing up to bullies and for what's right. i thought it was a very good movie.

A gritty and at times gruesome adaptation of an important 19th-century novel. In the context of current concerns about bullying in our schools, it puts things in historical perspective. As always, Stephen Fry is sublime.
