Synopsis of The Chair
Spanish writer/director Julio Wallovits helms this existential black comedy concerning an unnamed protagonist who sets out on an absurdist quest to find fulfillment. His days spent wandering through the barren streets of an undistinguishable town, the man (Francesc Garrido) searches coffee shops to find the perfect table and examines local hotel rooms while being stalked by a pair of eccentric policemen (Gonzalo Cunhill and Luis Zahera) who know he is up to no good. Later, when the man finds a Bauhaus chair that will surely fill the emptiness in his aimless life, the suffocating grip of anxiety begins to take hold when he discovers that it has already been sold. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
